Magic V5 will deliver flagship
performance in sleek and pocket-sized package.

Design & Build
Honor has
minimized bezels and hinges even further than Magic V2 in
the previous year. At 4.1 mm unfolded, the
V5 is almost paper thin, with a welcome grip added through the vegan leather Reddish Brown
variant. The fresh hover mode hinge locks at various angles now, transforming
the V5 into a mini laptop for video calls or note taking applications.

•Ivory White – pearl finish
• Reddish Brown –

Display Experience
The 7.95″ internal
screen boasts 2 172 × 2 352px,
1 600 nits
peak luminance and up to 120 Hz adaptive
refresh through LTPO 3.0. The 6.43″ exterior screen enjoys the same 120 Hz
smoothness, so quick checking and selfies become second nature.
Performance & Software
The Snapdragon 8
Elite is Qualcomm's first 3 nm chip which brings a 20% CPU enhancement and 25%
GPU enhancement compared to the 8 Gen 3. Combined with MagicOS 9 Android 15,
multitasking on the Magic V5 is beautifully seamless:
•Smart Multi
Window 3.0: drag & drop any app into split screen or floating bubbles.
•Cross Screen Collaboration: mirror your
Honor laptop in one tap.
•AI Boost: on device generative AI summarizes docs
and generates travel itineraries offline.
Camera System
Instead of chasing
megapixels, Honor is highlighting sensor quality and software optics. Dual 20 MP
front cameras, one on each screen to deliver 4K vlog recording whether closed
or open. At the back (details withheld), expect a dual 50MP main wide or
Ultrawide sensors and a 70mm 64MP periscope.
Battery & Charging
The 5 820 mAh
(Global) or 6 100 mAh
(China Version) cell keeps the lights on for:
•11 hr
mixed usage (estimated),
•75 % in 25 min via
80 W wired SuperCharge
•50 W
wireless (new ceramic coil).
Honor also rolls
out Battery Health Engine 2, with a
guarantee of 1 600 cycles before dropping to 80 %
capacity.

Early Verdict
With lighter
hinge, desktop quality silicon and class leading battery, Honor Magic V5 is
poised to be the foldable to beat in 2025. As long as the final camera tuning
withholds none of the competition, Samsung and Xiaomi can finally look forward
to a serious challenger.
